Spectroscopy and excitons control
Jiale Feng is interested in understanding the fundamental quantum behaviours of excitons in molecular semiconductors, particularly the singlet exciton fission and photon energy upconversion. By deploying optical and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy techniques to understand the role of spin, interactions between excitons and the environment, light is shed on the performance of optoelectronic devices.
Jiale Feng completed his PhD in Physics at the University of Cambridge, Cavendish Laboratory, Optoelectronics group, supervised by Prof. Neil Greenham. In his PhD project, he investigated how to manage triplet excitons via solid-state interactions in organic semiconductors.
